What this policy covers
Cookies are small text files that a website can place in a browser. Local storage is a related browser feature that keeps a value on the visitor’s device. This policy covers both because the current Lago Mayor website relies mainly on first-party local storage for essential preferences.
The values described here are not designed to identify you by name, create a user account or build an advertising profile.
Current first-party storage
The front end may use two essential local-storage keys:
- lagomayor-locale remembers the language selected in the English/Spanish switcher.
- lagomayor-cookie-choice remembers that the cookie notice was accepted.
The current package does not use these values to store your name, email address, financial information or message content.
Purpose and duration
Essential storage keeps the interface consistent, remembers a language choice and preserves the notice state. It remains on the device until the browser, the visitor or the site replaces or clears it; the website does not promise a fixed expiry period for local storage.
If storage is unavailable, the site should remain readable, but the language choice and notice state may reset between visits.
Contact forms and security
When a visitor submits a contact form, the PHP endpoint uses the request IP address to create a hashed, short-lived server-side rate-limit marker. Its purpose is to reduce repeated automated submissions. It is not an advertising cookie, a cross-site tracker or a long-term activity profile.
The form message is sent through the configured mail transport and is not saved in a website database by this package. Hosting, mail and security infrastructure may maintain technical logs under their own policies.
Third-party links
The site links to services such as WhatsApp, email clients and Google Maps. When you choose to open one, the provider may use its own cookies, local storage, logs or other technologies. Those practices are controlled by the provider, not by Lago Mayor.
No advertising or analytics in this package
The current package does not include advertising cookies, analytics tags, tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts or embedded third-party frames. If Lago Mayor later adds non-essential technology, this policy should be reviewed and the new practice disclosed where required.
Managing or removing storage
- Use your browser’s site-data or privacy settings to clear storage for lagomayor.co.
- Block storage if you prefer; essential preferences may then reset or fail to persist.
- Manage third-party cookies directly with the external service you decide to use.
Clearing storage does not automatically delete information already sent by email or retained by a hosting or mail provider. For a data request, contact Info@lagomayor.co.
